PLACES TO VISIT IN KAZAKHSTAN

Big Almaty Lake : It is located in the Trans-Ili Aladag mountains, 15 km south of Almaty city of Kazakhstan. The lake is located at an altitude of 2,511 meters above sea level.


Almaty First President Park is a city park located in Almaty, at the intersection of Navoi Street and Al-Farabi Boulevard in the Bostandyq District in the south of the city. The park was named after the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in July 2010.


Kokbazar : Located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Since its opening in 1875, the market has been an important trading point in Almaty.


28 Panfilov Guards Park : It is named after and dedicated to the Panfilov heroes, 28 soldiers of the Almaty Infantry unit who allegedly died defending Moscow against the German invasion during World War II.

Almaty Central Mosque : It is one of the largest mosques in Almaty and Kazakhstan. Designed to seat 7000 people, the mosque was built on the site of an old mosque dating back to 1890.

 

 

Kok-Tobe :  is a mountain located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Kok-Tobe Park, a popular recreation area, is at the top of the mountain. The mountain’s height is 1,100 meters above sea level.

Hoca Ahmed Yesevi Tomb: It is located in the city of Turkestan. The structure was built by Timur in 1389 during the Great Timur Empire.

Hazret Sultan Mosque : It is a mosque located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. It was completed in 2012 and is the largest mosque in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. It takes its name from the Turkish mystic and poet Hoca Ahmed Yesevi, also known as Hazret Sultan.

Zenkov Cathedral : It is a Russian Orthodox cathedral located in Panfilov Park in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Completed in 1907, the cathedral was made of wood, and no nails were used in its construction. It is claimed that this 56-meter-high building is the second tallest building made of wood in the world.

Nur Astana Mosque : It is the third largest mosque in Central Asia. Its 40-meter height symbolizes the age of Muhammad as a prophet, and the 63-meter height of the minarets symbolizes the time when Muhammad died. The construction of the mosque began in March 2005 and was completed in 2008.

Bayterek Tower : It is a monument and observation tower in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. It is a popular tourist attraction among foreign visitors and local Kazakhs and has been the symbol of the city since Astana became the capital of the country in 1997. The height of the tower is 105 meters and the observation point is 97 meters high.

Khan Shatyr : It is a shopping and entertainment center located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The construction of the building was started on December 9, 2006 by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and was opened on July 5, 2010. Khan Shatyr is also the largest tent in the world.

The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan is a national museum located in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. It was opened on July 2, 2014, by the then President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, after a six-year construction period.

Shymbulak : is a ski resort located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The largest in Central Asia, the ski resort is located in the upper part of the Medeu Valley in the Trans-Ili Ala Mountains, at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level.

Ile-Alatau National Park : It is a national park in Kazakhstan. Established in 1996, the park covers an area of ​​approximately 200,000 hectares.
