PLACES TO VISIT IN NORTH MACEDONIA
Monastir Military Preparatory School: Monastir Military Preparatory School is located in the city of Monastir in North Macedonia and is currently used as a museum. One of the people who studied here was Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1896-1898). There is a section on the second floor of the building reserved for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. At the same time, one of the leading figures of the Committee of Union and Progress, Resneli Niyazi Bey, studied here. The classroom where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk studied and the places where he spent his student life have been restored and turned into a museum. Today, Monastir Military Preparatory School meets the officer needs of the Macedonian Air Force and is a military high school that is the source of the Kumanovo Air War College.

Matka Canyon: A canyon located west of Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Covering an area of approximately 500 hectares, Matka is one of the most popular outdoor destinations in North Macedonia and also contains several monasteries. Matka Lake in Matka Canyon is the oldest artificial lake in the country.

The Monastery of Saint Naum is an Orthodox monastery in North Macedonia. It is located on the southeastern shore of Lake Ohrid, close to the Albanian border and 30 km south of the city of Ohrid. The monastery was built by Saint Naum in 893-900.

Skopje Fortress: Historical fortress located in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. It is located in the old town of Skopje, north of the Vardar. The fortress is also one of the symbols on the coat of arms and flag of Skopje. It is thought that the fortress was first built in the 6th century AD.

Skopje Turkish Bazaar: It is a bazaar from the Ottoman Empire period located in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. The bazaar has cultural and historical features as one of the largest living areas in Skopje.

Ohrid Fortress: It is a medieval castle built on a large hill overlooking Lake Ohrid, in the city of Ohrid of the First Bulgarian Empire, which was the capital of the city when it was built, within the borders of North Macedonia.

İshak Çelebi Mosque: An Ottoman-built place of worship located in Bitola, North Macedonia. It was built by İshak Çelebi, who was the judge of Bitola and Thessaloniki. According to its four-line inscription in Thuluth script, its construction was completed in 912 AH (1506 AD).

Alaca Mosque: It is one of the Ottoman-Turkish religious monuments found in North Macedonia in 1438 AD. The mosque was built in 1438 and repaired by Abdürrahman Pasha in 1833.

Tetovo: A city in the northwestern part of North Macedonia, built on the foothills of the Sharr Mountains and on the banks of the Pena River.

Lake Ohrid: A lake located in the mountainous border region between southwestern North Macedonia and eastern Albania.

Alexander the Great Monument: The statue, built in 2011, is located right in the heart of the city square, with a length of 22 meters and 8 bronze lion statues of 2.5 meters around it. This magnificent statue was built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Macedonia and is named “The Mounted Warrior” because it depicts the famous commander Alexander on horseback raising his sword to the sky.
