Chișinău (Kishinev)

Chișinău is currently the largest city and capital of the Republic of Moldova, located in Eastern Europe. It is situated on the banks of the Bîc River, a tributary of the Dniester River. The city is famous for its renowned wine cellars and buildings constructed in brutalist architecture. The Romanian name of the city is Chișinău, which can be translated into English as "New River" or "New Water Source." Founded before 1436, Chișinău was initially a monastery village. Orheiul Vechi

Tiraspol

A city located in the eastern part of Moldova and the capital of the unrecognized breakaway republic of Transnistria.
