It is an Ottoman mosque located in Pristina, Kosovo. It was built by Fatih Sultan Mehmed in 1461. The six-line inscription written in Arabic alphabet, located on the entrance portal and giving the exact construction date, gives the year 1461 according to the Gregorian calendar, that is, the year 865 Hijri according to the Islamic calendar. The monument is among the most important structures of Islamic architecture in Eastern Europe in terms of structure, construction style and decorative elements.
